Paralegal – Commercial Litigation

We are a leading litigation firm of solicitors with an excellent reputation based in Cheltenham and seeking a paralegal to assist and support the litigation team.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • assisting solicitors with their work load
  • research work
  • preparing cases for hearings and/or conferences
  • assisting with case progression including ‘disclosure’ of documents
  • drafting documents, legal forms and letters
  • liaising with clients
  • preparing court bundles

You will have a law degree (and preferably completed your LPC) with a real interest in litigation work. You may well have gained practical paralegal experience in a Commercial Litigation Department.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and well presented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  It is important that you have a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to act on your own initiative.  The department is busy and it will be necessary for you to be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload.  You should be PC literate with good typing skills and excellent attention to detail. You will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The core working hours are 09:00 to 17.30 hours but flexibility is required when a heavy work load demands.
