Currently acting for an off-shore property company to recover misappropriated monies. In February 2013, we obtained a worldwide freezing order for €46 million, and in October 2013, judgment was made against three of the defendants for €59 million.
Acting for the first and third defendants in a dispute regarding breach of trust and fiduciary duty in connection with a loan. The claim was successfully resisted at first instance and in the Court of Appeal.
Acting for a claimant in a claim alleging various economic torts for over £75 million against a firm of solicitors and others (Jackson v. Thompsons Solicitors and others). The defendants’ interlocutory appeal was successfully resisted in August.
